Kirby Sentenced.
THREE YEARS. [By Telegraph.] [Special to Standard]. Wellington, This day. Kirby, who was brought up for sentence, made a long address. He practically gave a general denial of the truth of the charge. His Honor said if sentence had been passed immediately after the commission of the crime it would have been heavy, but as the prisoner must have undergone considerable mental agony, he would sentence him to three years' penal servitude.
