MOTOR-CAR RACE.
A NOVEL SPECTACLE. LoNtH'N, NnV. I.J. Thirty motor-cars, litted with all sorts of tires, started on a nice from London to Brighton yesterday. The»istance is. fifty miles, and an immense crowd watched them at various points, unbounded interest being displayed in the novel spectacle. Both the weather and roads were unfavorable for such an experiment, and seventeen machines we re disabled. The rest were fairly suece—ful. T wo machines with *■ Bollec " tyres occupied four hours on the journey. At a banquet held afterwards Lord Wenchelsea claimed this whs the beginning of a irreat nation;;! industry.
