[From Our Own Correspondent.] Napier, November 16. The Wanderers Bicycle Club had a splendid run on Saturday, and ivent out to the residence of Mr P. Dobel at Springfield, where they were feasted and entertained in regal style. Mr Norris, on behalf of the Wanderers, before leaving expressed hearty thanks to Mr Dolbel for his kindness and liberality. Mr McLean has definitely announced himself as a candidate for the Napier seat, and will address the electors for the first time on Wednesday evening in the Theatre Royal. The Union Rowing Club has received no less than 26 entries for its double scull races for medals presented by the President. On Saturday the competition for the trial fours of the Napier Rowing Club took place, Mr W r . Rudman's crew proving victorious. The Waiapu and Scinde Cricket Clubs continued their match on Saturday. At the call of time Waiapu were all out for a total af 800 in the two innings and Scinde had lost six wickets in the second for 32 and with the total in their first innings 107 had 162 to make to win. The match will be resumed on Saturday. At the S.M. Court this morning, Arthur McKay, alias McNamara, was committed for trial for stealing £'6 from Denis Cronin. Mr G. H. Swan was to-day re-elected unopposed as Mayor of Napier. This is the twelfth time in succession that Mr Swan has held the office.
