[By Telegraph] [Special to Standard.] Christchukch, This day At the S.M. Court to-day -James Furness, a young man was charged ■with picking a lady's pocket and abstracting a purse with money to the value of £4. He protested his innocence. The Magistrate said the case was one of the clearest character, and sentenced him to three months' imprisonment.
