THE TICK PLAGUE.
Sydxky, This day. In his report on behalf of the Government, I)r Wynne states that tick is infested with various parasites, but experiments had failed to indicate the Texas fever parasite from the tick itself. The latter, he says, merely acts as the vehicle for innoculating the animal with fever, and adds that there is now every probability, by subcutaneous injections, the constituents of which will shortly be published, that fatal effects will be prevented. He states that there is great danger of the plague spreading to New South Wales.
