The Wellington Exhibition.

[By Telegraph.] [Special to Standard.] Wellington, This day. The Exhibition building is finished and exhibitors are getting their wares into position. The opening ceremony will take place at o p.m. on the 18th inst. Five-thousand candle-power lamps are erected at the entrance, the largest in New Zealand. The concert hall will hold nearly 1200 people, besides 300 on the stage. The idea of having a procession of school children has been abondoned as the teachers, after the experience of Jubilee day procession, are adverse to marching the children through the streets. Squads from each school, however, will give displays of drill, and special arrangements will be made for admitting schools to the exhibition. So far the outlay has been £BI2B, and the total will be over £4OOO.
