The E.'irl of Salisbury is a beautiful bay, rising six years old. and stands l(ro hands, and was bred by Mr Arch M'Lean, Greeuliill. As a three year o!d he gained first prize at the H. B. A. and P. Society's Show, boating five others. Sire, Manpus of Salisbury, g. sire Lord Salisbury, imported from Scotland. You will see by the sires that tile Earl of Salisbury is second to none. The Earl of Salisbury's dam is the purebred Clydesdale mare I'ride's Darling (Oil) imported from Yictoria by Mr Joim Trestnul. Pride's Darling's sire was Cox's Pride of Scotland (imported) dam Fanny by Bothwell (imported), Ac.. &c. Pride's Darling gained a first prize at Dunedin Show in lNBl> and a first prize at the Taieri Show in the same year. Also firsts at Dunedin and Taieri Shows, 1887. In 1888 she gained first prize at the Taieri Show. The Earl of Salisbury is good tempered and a sure foal getter. Terms, £4 4s, payable January 1, 1807. Good paddoeking for mares at Is 6d per week.
