Farmery (Lee) v."olsen (Sheath) — This was a case brought by the plaintiff for the illegal detention of a horse, and damages for the losses resulting therefrom. Mr Sheath applied for an adjournment for a month in order to produce an important witness. Mr Lee opposed the application on the grounds that the notice of Mr Sheath's intention to apply for an adjournment was not received by him until it was too late to prevent his witnesses attending.
