Mails close for the under-mentioned places as follows: — For Auckland. overland, Monday nnd Thursday. 2 p.m. For "Wellington and South, daily, 11 a.m. For Gisborne. Auckland, nnd Australia. 4.30 p.m., Friday, November 6. Monday, the 9th. Prince of Wales' Birthday," will he observed as a close holiday by the postal branch, and mails which would otherwise close on that day will be closed on Saturday, the 7th, at 8 p.m. The office will open for telegraphic purposes only from 9 to 10 a.m.. and from 7 to 8 p.m. fc>.
