No entry shall be received for any race except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. 2. All protests must bo accompanied with a deposit of £2. which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. s>. All nominations, entries, and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed and delivered to the Secretary at the Jubilee Hotel. Otaki, not later than the advertised time of closing, with performances, pedigree, and colors of the rider. 4. No entry will be received under any pretenco whatever after the hour named. 5. All races shall be run under the Rules of Racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of the colony. 6. Horses walking over will only receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. 7. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the day of meeting, the amount of added money, to make any addition or alteration to the meeting at any time prior to the nominations becoming due for such meeting, subject to the approval of the Wellington Racing Club. 8. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised stake of the amount of X'4o at the time of nomination (Hack and Hunter races excepted). 9.
