Attempted Incendiarism.
[Special to Standard.] (By Telegrpah.) Gisbornb, This day. An attempt was made last night to burn down the Roseland Hotel at Makaraka. The fire was discovered in the nick of time. The flames had a strong hold oil the front doorway and were spreading rapidly. Several other suspicions fires have occorred at Makaraka recently, in one of which two horses were burned to death in a stable.
