Since the electoral rolls were printed in June last between tlnee and four thousand additional claims for enrolment have been received for 'Wellington and Suburbs. Mr J. J. Iv. Powell, known in temperance circles, announces his candidature for the City. The Premier states that the date of the elections will not be iixed until it has been ascertained how the printing of the electoral rolls is progressing. Dunedin, This day. Mr Scobie Mackenzie has practically agreed to become a candidate for Dunedin City in the Opposition interest. Fielpiku, This day. Joseph G. Brown, of Poliangina. is a candidate for the liangitikei electorate in the Liberal interest.
