A QUEENSLAND TRAGEDY.
lb:is:;\Nr. Oct. 22. A curious tragedy is reported from Tov.nsviile, where Kirton. a. chemist, and Martin, manager of tiie Cnited Insurance Company, were found dead in .1 bedroom over Kirton'.s shop. Kirton had a -hort time previous sent to a neighboring chemist for pru-sie acid.
The theory is that he had fivea his fri"itd an opiate wliieh acted fa'/iily, and then lindjng what he had dune [>oisone«l himself.
