A Shocking Accident.

Shortly after three o'clock on Monday, August 3, a shocking accident to a wedding party occurred at W alham Green, resulting in serious injury to the bride and bridegroom and the coachman. The bridegroom, Mr T. Fcnwick-Sims, of 22, Shorrolds Road, Fu'ham, was married in the afternoon to Miss Millington, Newmarket, and the couple were driving back from Old Fulham Church, where the ceremony had been performed, when the horses took fright at a perambulator, and getting beyond the control of the driver, galloped off at full speed. Finding that lie was powerless to check the horses, the coachman attempted to jump off the brougham, but in so doing was caught in the front wheel and run over, receiving shocking injuries to the head and body. A few minutes afterwards the brougham came into collision with a pillar-box in Fulham Road, throwing the bride and bridegroom out, and killing one of the horses. The driver was at once removed to a neighboring surgery, and afterwards to the South - Western Hospital; but it was stated that no hopes were entertained of his recovery. The bridal pair were taken to the residence of the bridegroom's father in Shorrolds Road, Fulham, where they were medically attended. Roth were in a dangerous condition on Monday evening, the bride having received serious internal injuries, and her husband being badly cut about the body. The accident caused great excitement, and much sympathy was expressed with the unfortunate couple.
