Hastings Gun Club.

GLASS BALL MATCHES. Three matches were fired at Stortford Lodge yesterday. The first was an eight hall match, at 21 yards, and was won by Mr S. Lindsay, who broke four out of eight balls. The next was the first match for a silver trophy presented by Mr A. E. C. it. Macgregor. It is a plate to be attached to the stock of the gun. Mr T. Stewart, the vice-president, succeeded in breaking ten balls out of twelve at 22 yards, thus getting the first leg in. T. T. Darners, IS yards, was second with sewn hulls, and Lindsay and 1). Larry, at 20 yards broke six each. The trophy is to lie won twice in succession, or three times at intervals before becoming the absolute property of any member. A third match, eight balls each, 21 yards, was won by I>. Larry who broke six. There will be another match next week.
