LARRIKINISM.

[To the Editor.] Sib, —A gang of the over-fed corner louts, whose vacant faces and hulking carcases contaminte the streets, think that the police are exceeding their duty by interfering in their innocent amusement of flinging coarse jests and horse laughter after respectable passers-by, and I hear, intend testing the matter the next time they are ordered to move by a police officer. It is to be sincerely hoped that the idiots will adhere to their determination and give Sergeant Mitchell or Constable Butler an opportunity of setting their minds at rest upon such an important question as the infringement of their liberties. —I am, &c., Citizen.
