Cheistchurch, This day,
A man named Cuthbertson, baker, at Sanson, hanged himself this morning. No cause is assigned. The Progressive Liberal Association at Christchurch has decided that the following names shall go to the ballot to members of the affiliated organisations as candidates for the general election :—Christchurch: G. J. Smith, T. E. Taylor, and D. Gell; Riccarton: G. W. Russell and J. W. Prebble; Avon : W. W. Tanner.
