Aii estimate of the stock of wheat and oats held at the various centres of the South Island has been compiled by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Chriatchurch. It has been found that between Tiniaru and Invereargill there are no fewer than 44,650 bags of ■wheat and 569,360 bags of oats held in store. Invercargill and Gore have no less than 228,600 of tii« latter number.
