MB RHODES STILL TREATING WITH THE NATIVES. Cape Town, Sept. 2. Negotiations for peace with the Matabele continue, and several of the chiefs are said to be anxious to stop fighting. Mr Cecil Rhodes has rejected several of the proposed conditions under which strife should be ended, and has warned the natives that they will be trapped like rabbits unless they surrender.
