ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Wellington, This Day

The Council of the Accountants' Institute has elected Mr Brown, of Dunedin, President, Mr A. M. Ollivier, of Christchurch, Vice-president, and Mr C. Powles, of Wellington, Treasurer. Fifty pounds was voted for the purchase of books to form the nucleus of a library at each local centre. It was decided, if the articles allowed, to accept Matriculation and Senior Civil Service examinations for the general knowledge pass of fellows, and the Junior Civil Service examination for students. If the weather is anyway reasonable the Amateur Opera Company purpose holding a rehearsal to-night. Gentlemen members are particularly requested to attend.
