London', August 24. Mr Macarthur, M.P., is a passenger for Australia by the Paramatta. It is reported from Norway that Pr Nansen proposes to undertake an Antarctic expedition with two ships. Many dogs and sledges will accompany him, and he hopes to push far southwards with their aid.
The Saltan is represented as anxious to settle the Cretan difficulty, and is likely to accept the latest scheme suggested by the Powers.
Berlin, August 24
A political crisis is imminent, and Prince Honenlohe and the whole Ministry are likely to resign after the Czar's visit unless the Emperor sanctions the procedure of, certain measures suggested by the Government. Bkusseixs, August 24. Ben Tillett has been expelled from Belgium.
