THE CATTERTHUN'S GOLD.

FURTHER SEARCH ABANDONED Sydnky, August 21. Operations at the wreck of the Catterthun have now been abandoned. The divers were unahle to rind the remainder of the lost bullion, and the underwriters are convinced that it would be useless to continue the work. The wreck is gradually going to pieces and threatens to collapse. The salvage steamers accordingly returned to-day, and an enthusiastic crowd watched the landing of the treasure. The gold is bright, and shows little sign of its long immersion.
