Fatal Railway Accident.
A CONSTABLE LOSES HIS LIFE [By Telegraph] [Special to Standard.] Christchttrch, This day. Constable Ward, who was injured by falling off the Christehurch-Lyttel-ton train, died last night. Deceased was a single man, about 42 years of age, and was on the eve of retiring from the force on compensation, and contemplated visiting his friends in Ireland.
