Kahu arrived from Wellington via coast this morning. Hie s.s. Southern Cross arrived this morning from Northern ports, and left again for Wellington. The s.s. Te Kapu left for Wairoa yesterday morning. "The steamers Result and Pania left on Tsesday nigh* for the coast. The s.s. ludragliiri is expected to leave Oil Saturday for south. The s.s. Waihora left Sydney for Auckland yesterday. SHIPPING TE LEG RAMS. Auckland, August 12. Sailed—Tasmania, for south. Passengers—Miss M' Donald ; Mrs Eceles and child; Sisters of Mercy f2) ; Messrs Neal, Thompson, Longden, Lamb, Hayes. Rudd, Becles, Purvis, Blythe. and Crerar. Wellington", August 12. Arrived—Ruapehu, from London via Cape and Hobart, at 4 o'clock this afternoon. She leaves for Auckland at daylight to-morrow. Passengers for Napier —Messrs A.'Collins and H. Rochfort. Nelson, August 12. The schooner Morning Light was picked rap off Tonga to-day by the steamer Lady Barkley and towed to Nelson. She was hound from Sydney to Iyttelton, having left the former port 37 days ago. On July 19th, when about half away across the Taaman Sea. she had to jettison part of the cargo consisting of hardwood and coal, coming along under jufy rig. She was 14 days off Cap-- Farewell. The Morning Light was purchased in Sydney by Captain Kirk to replace the John Bull wrecked near Wellington.
