IN A WELLINGTON LAUNDRY. [By Telegraph] [Special to Standard.] Wellington, This day. Edward Gawne, a laundryman, was fined £5 and £2 14s costs, for unlawfully employing a woman between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7.45 p.m. The unfortunate woman was alleged to have worked from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for 3id per hour. On two other somew T hat similar charges, Gawne was convicted and discharged.
