Disobedience o! the mandate of the Cricket Council as to the New Zealand tour by the Australian team may lead to some unpleasant experiences. It will be remembered that when Lillywhite's team came to Australia in Ism. the Australian eleven had just r> turned. Owing to a dispute over the gate-money Murdoch's men refused to I'ilrii fixture with the Englishmen at Melbourne, and the Victorian Association disqualified Palmer, Bonnor, Scott, M'Doimell, Blackham, and Boyle.
