FOOTBALL.
Auckland, August 8. The first match of the Queensland tour was played here to-day against the Auckland reps., when the visitors were defeated by 15 to 6. Wellington", August 8. The match between Wellington and Canterbury resulted in a win for the lormer by*l2 to 3. The ground was very heavy, and the weight of the Wellington men told in the second spell.
