Hareford, alias Williams, who recently created a sensation by declaring himself to be the murderer of Hawkins at Kaiwarra, Wellington, for whose murder Chemis is undergoing a life sentence, has been sentenced to six years' hard labor for a murderous attack in the train on the constable who was conveying him from Newcastle to Svdnev.
