AGAINST EARL DE LA WARR'S ELEVEN. London, July 30. The Home eleven was disposed of for 102 runs, 22 in advance of the Australians. Jones, the bowler, was not put on till the score had reached that number, and he succeeded in causing a complete collapse. Stoddart and Douglas knocked up 48 in half an hour, and the score of the visitors was passed when only four wickets were down. Thelastfive wickets put on only 11 runs. In their second innings the Australians have lost one wicket for 81 runs. THE CRICKET COUNCIL GIVING INSTRUCTIONS. Adelaide, July 80. The chairman of the Cricket Council has wired to Mr Musgrove, manager of the Australian team, that the Council expects the team back by November 30 in order that the members may take part in intercolonial and informs him that no authority has been given to play matches between Australia and New Zealand.
