The barque Dexa, from Port Pine for Newcastle-on-Tyne, put into harbor today, having lost several sails and sustained other damage during a gale. Captain Anderson reports leaving Port Pine on July 3rd, with 1241 tons concentrated sulphide ore. When off Cape Rorda the vessel encountered a gale which increased to a hurricane, with a terrific sea. The gale continued from the sth to the 20th. The barque lost several sails, and as the main hatch was found to be caved in a course was shaped for Otago.
