AGAINST SURREY. MORE HEAVY SCORING. London, July 28. The Home team having been dismissed for 288, the visitors went to the wickets, the following being the scores:—

Hay ward took five wickets for 112, Richardson three for 124, Abel one for 29. Darling hit seven 4's. Gregory, who gave a chance, registered one hit for 9 (four of which weie for an overthrow), one 5, and seven 4's. Hill and Keslly knocked up 95 in 80 minutes. The former batted for three hours, and played a splendid game. Included in his score was one hit for 8 (including two for an overthrow) and sixteen 4's. When the stumps were drawn for the day Surrey had lost two wickets for 12 runs in their second innings.
