THE IRISH LAND BILL. A ROYAL BETHROTHAL. Loxdox, July 22. The drought has created a water famine in Leicester. The landlords have withdrawn their opposition to the passage of the Irish Land Law Reform Bill through the House of Commons. July 23. Mr Chamberlain, at a recent banquet, said that more time was wasted in the British Parliament than in any other part of the world. He spoke of the skilful leadership of the House by Mr Balfour, who was not responsible , for the delays of the present, session. Rome, July 23. The Marquis of Rudini, having failed to obtain the release of the Italian prisoners in Shoa, expresses himself as doubtful of the efficacy of the peace treaty with King Menelek. Belgrade, July 22. King Alexander is betrothed to Princess Helen of Montenegro.
