THE SITUATION IN CRETE.
NEW GOVERNOR EOB CRETE. ■ PANIC AT CANEA. Athens, July 21. Abdullah Pasha has been removed from the Governorship of Crete, and the Porte is sending an officer of higher rank. Four hundred refugees from Canea have reach the sanatorium, and report a panic in that town. The inhabitants are appealing to the Powers to send warships. The captain of H.M.S. Hood intervened and restored order in the place.
