The Banking Question.

A DEADLOCK. [sv TEl.euraph l . [Special to Staxi>aiu>.] Wellington, July 10. The result of to-day's Banking Committee was a deadlock. Mr Watson, president of the Hank of New Zealand refused to answer any questions as to any accounts past or present. Mr Hutchison said he must answer, as the Committee had all the powers of the Supreme Court. The Committee deliberated, and after a few minutes resolved to report to the House.
