CONCLUSION OF THE SALES. WHICH END WEAK. Sydney, July 10. The sheep sales finished this alternoon. There was a poor attendance of buyers, and bidding was paralysed. Eomneys sent by various New Zealand owners, which appeared in yesterday's catalogue, were not submitted to-day. The following sales were affected. Lincoln rams : Mr Rutherford, Bombay, New Zealand, 80 to an average of £3 6s 6d; 11 rams from Mr Selby, Waiuku, averaged £2 17s 3d ; and four ranis from Mr May, Roskell, lfgns each. Twenty Border Leicesters from Mr Menlove brought 2gns each. The same breeder sold a Shropshire ram which was a prize-winner at the Canterbury show for 9gns. Mr Mackenzie's, Wellington, liomneys, which were held over from las year's sales and have been pastured in this colony, were submitted without eliciting a bid. A little life was infused into the proceedings when Mr Sutton's, Fairview stud Lincoln rams came under the hammer. Fifteen sold at an average of £7 5s sd, and 19 other Lincoln rams averaged Sgns. Twenty-five out of 35 selected Bomney rams belonging to the New Zealand and Australian Land Company fetched from lgn to ljgn, the rest being passed in. One stnd Lincoln ram purchased in his pristine days for 41gns was sold on behalf of Mr Binnie, Auckland, for Sgns.
