SITUATION IN CRETE.
THE CRETANS SUBMITTING TO REFORMS. Athens, July 8. The Cretans have notified the Powers, through their Consols, that they desire to retain the support of the European Geveruments, and are therefore prepared to adopt the reforms insisted upon. The London Times, commenting on the situation, expresses satisfaction with the action of the Cretans, and declares that negotiations for peace will now proceed on the basis of the Haleppa Conference.
