An unprecedented feat is to be attempted this spring in towing an oilladen barge across the Atlantic. The towing steamer and the barge together will carry about 2,500,000ga15. of oil. The Standard Oil Company is engaged in this project, with a view to greater economy in transport, with vessels and machinery specially constructed to obviate the probable hazards of the enterprise.
