THE NATIVES CUT THE TELEGRAPH LINE. CLAIMS AGAINST THE CHARTERED COMPANY. THE MASHONA RISING. London, June 29. News has been received that the telegraph line between Fort Salisbury and Umtali has been cut by the rebels. It is estimated that the claims made against the British South Africa Chartered Company by warmers and others owing to the rising -will amount to £200,000. The Mashona rising is reported to be spreading rapidly in the Zambesi, and it is said that a brother of Dr Jameson has been killed. A battalion of the King's Rifles are being sent to the Cape.
