FRIENDLY NATIVES JOINING THE REBELS. Capetown, June 22. Martial law has been proclaimed at Fort Salisbury, where the Matabelo are looting and burning the villages. Many friendly natives have been killed. June 23. The friendly natives are joining the rebels, and it is feared the rising will extend from the Zambesi to the Transvaal. An impi 2000 strong is marching from Matoppo to join the Mashonas, who are behaving with gross treachery. Fifty men from Buiuwayo will reinforce Beale's column.
