The Address-in-Reply was adopted on the motion of the IIo?i Mr Arkwright, seconded by the Hon Mr Ceo. Jones. The former spoke with fluency but he was suffering from nervousness, and was inclined to be a triile prolific. Roth gein'.enun agreed that the Government bad set. themselves too extensive a programme. Aft it a few remarks of an adverse nature by the Hon Mr Pharazyn, the motion was adopted. It is understood that Mr Seddon will take charge of all the portfolios previouslv held by Mr Ward, and that the Premier will distribute bis present portfolios among his colleagues. The Hon. Mr Walker will in all likelihood be appoint'd Mini-tor of l-'.ducation and Colonial Seen tary, and Yiill be paid a. -alary.
