Shocking Tragedy at Glasgow.

Recently a terrible tragedy occurred at Pollockshaws. a suburb of Glasgow. Mrs Ellen Hannah, the wife of an iron turner, iminlereil her three youngest children —William, aped two years ami eight months ; I)an;el, one year and four months; and James, aped six week—by cutting their throats. She afterwards attempted her own life in the same manner. Mrs Hannah, who was the mother of seven children, has, it is stated, bt*en in a depressed state for some time, and the authorities believe that her mind had become affected. The unfortunate woman was brought before the Sheriff at Paisley on Wednesday. She was in so weak a state that she had to be driven from Glasgow to Paisley in a cab, and while in court had a dazed and frightened appearance. A medical man having examined her expressed an opinion that she was of unsound mind. She was accordingly submitted to no judicial examination, but was committed to prison.
