ANOTHER SOUTH POLE EXPEDITION. AMERICAN ITEMS. BnrssKi.s, June 15. The Belgians are sending an expedition to the South Pole. The Government will contribute €IOOO towards the cost. Washington, June 15. Experts believe that the St. Louis convention will adopt the gold standard of coinage. Messrs Morton and Ilecd have refused to be nominated for the \ icvprcsiiency of the Unit 1 States.
