A DAMP PLAYGROUND.
[To the Editor.]
Sir, —Just after the first bell rung at school this morning I saw a little girl going home crying, and in answer to my question "What is the matter?" a somewhat reluctant answer " I am wet" was given. I elicited the fact the child had occupied a horizontal position a few minutes before in a mud hole in the school play-ground. As the wet weather advances" the said hole may hold all the scholars, and then the teachers will have a practical illustration of something that gets larger the more you take from it.—l am, &c., G iiANDMOTHEK.
