COLLIERY ACCIDENT.
Tm'kk:: men suffocated. Sydney, Juno 10. A a Trident- has happened in the M- : ! *'Oiolitau Colliery, Helenburg. Th ■ miners—Barton, Pags, and Shipion—were entombed in a drive. Rescue parties immediately set to work to save the men, hut they were considerably impeded on account of the gas and failing roof. After a few hours the bodies were reached, but the men were quite dead, having been suffocated by the gas. Two of the men were married and had large families.
