GOVERNMENT SECURITIES.
The London quotation for Colonial Government stocks, compared with the prices of last week, shows but three backward movements. Two of these, owing to the payment of the half year's interest, were inevitable, but the drop of 30s in New Zealand Si per cents is inexplicable. The dividend 011 our per cents is payable next month, which makes the fall all the worse. The advances recorded in the other stocks are small. The quotations are as follows : Three-and-a-half Per Cent.
