THE C'OROMANDEL FIELD. The Ivapai-Vermont Company has crushed 280 tons of ore for 211ozs. of cold. Shares are now quoted at 9s Gd. Buyers of Bunker's Hill shares are giving 10s Gd. The cause of the rise is no doubt the rumor that rich gold is being got in the low levels of the Hauraki driving towards Bunker's Hill.

A rich lode has been discovered in the Fortuna mine. It appears that specimens were found jammed into a log which had come down the creek, and investigation revealed a riph lode on the creek bank in the Fortuna ground. Gold is now being obtained from at least four English owned mines : The Hauraki, the" Success, the Ivapanga, and Scottv's.

Moantaira shares have been sold up to 18s Oil: May Queens, lis 8d: Alburias, 8s 9d : Crown, 44s ; Woodstock*, 12s (3d ; Talisman, 16s 6d.

With reference to the Hauraki South mine, a cablegram from London states that the Company is alreadyformed, and shares will issue in a few da vs.

Another cablegram from London states that the contract for the sale of the Maoriland property is already signed, and all details have been satisfactorily arranged. Shares in both these companies have advanced. An important development has taken place in the New Golconda mine, a Gin. leader having been cut in the bottom of the shaft, in good country. Messrs Myers and Fascoe, the African experts, are at present at Waiamo, inspecting the Cornstock and Broken Hill properties.

A cablegram received in Auckland from London states that the pros pectus of the Tokatea Consols mine has been issued, with a capital of £IOO,OOO, and that 58,000 shares are being offered to the puUic.
