To Start at 12 noon.—Maiden Steeplechase, of 75 soys ; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stake. Entrance, 3 sovs. Weight for age. For all horses that have never won an advertised Steeplechase exceeding 25 sovs in value at time of entry. Weights—4yrs, list 61b ; syvs, 12st; 6yrs and aged, 12st 81b.
About 2 miles. 12.45 p.m.—Welter Handicap, of 50 sovs (on the Hat) ; second liorse to receive 10 sovs from the stake. Minimum weight, 9st. Nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 1 sov. 1| vnile' 1.45 p.m.—Ladies' Bracelet, of 80 sovs; a Bracelet value BO sovs. A goldmounted whip will be presented to the rider of the winner. For four-year-olds and upwards that have never won an advertised race of any description exceeding 25 sovs in value at time of entry. Gentlemen riders. All horses to be nominated by ladies. Entrance •> sovs. Weight—4yrs, list 121b ; syrs, 6yrs, and aged, 12st 31b. No allowances. 2 miles on the flat. N.B.—Application for election as a gentleman rider must be made to the Committee of the .Tockev (dub in whoso district the applicant resides, and must be proposed and seconded in writing by members of the Club. On election the Committee shall issue a Certificate which shall entitle the holder to ride as a gentleman rider on any racecourse where these rules are hi force, provided that the certificate may lie cancelled at any time on sufficient cause being shown. No person having recovered payment in consideration of work performed in connection with the training or riding of horses shall be eligible to ride as a gentleman rider." 2.35 p.m.—Hawkk's Bay Hurdles, a Handicap, of 200 sovs ; second horse to receive 20 sovs and third horse 10 sovs from the stake. Winner of any hurdle race of the value of 200 sovs after the declaration of the weights to carry 71b extra. Nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 5 sovs. About 8 miles. 3.15 p.m.—llrxT C'lvb Cup Steeplechase Handicap, of 45 sovs. Open to all qualified hunter* that have never won a race of 10 sovs in value. (Hunters' races excepted). Minimum weight, list. Gentlemen riders. Nomination, 1 sov; acceptance,' 1 sov. Nomination Isov; acceptance, nil. 12.45 p.m.—Handicap Huddle Race, of 100 sovs ; second horse to receive 10 soys from the stake. Nomination, 1 soy ; acceptance, 1 sov. About 1| mile. 1.45 p.m.— Hau'kks Bay Steeplechase Handicap, of 300 sovs ; second horse to receive 30 sovs. and third horse 10 from the stake. Nomination, 2 sovs: acceptance 7 sovs. Winner of the • Hawke's Bay Hurdle Race or of any Steeplechase after declaration of the weights to carry 71b penalty. About Similes. 2.30. p.:.i.—Hpxxers Handicap Steeplechase. of 45 sovs ; second to receive 5 sovs from the stake. For qualified hunters that have never won a race exceeding 40 sovs iu value at time of start, hunters' race excepted. Minimum weight, list. Gentlemen riders. Nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 1 sov. About 2.Vmiles. 3.15 p.m.—Second Welter Handicap, of 50 sovs (on the flat) ; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stake. Minimum weight, 9st. Nomination 1 sov; acceptance. 1 sov. 7 furlongs. 4 p.m.—Final Steeplechase Handicap, of 60 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stakes. Winner of any Steeplechase or Hurdle Race after the declaration of the weights to carry 71b extra. Nomination lsov; acceptance, 1 sov. About 2 miles. Qualified hunters are horses that have been regularly hunted with a recognised pack of hounds, and the Master's certificate of qualification must be produced at the scales.
