Mr John Duthie, M.11.R., speaks at Masterton to-morrow evening, and it is rumored that he is a likely candidate for that constituency. The excitement respecting Kirby's disappearance continues. Yesterday the police searched some premises in Te Aro for the missing man without success. Some hold the view that if Ivirby is still in Wellington he will not be taken alive. News has been received that the Sydney police searched the Talune, but without success. It is alleged, however, that they found traces that a man had been secreted aboard.
