A JUDGE SUSPENDED. ANOTHER ENGAGEMENT. COMPENSATION BY THE CHABTEBED COMPANY. Peetobia, May 28. President Ivrugor has suspended Judge. De Korte, as he believed he was bribed by Phillips. Capetown, May 28. Napier's flying column, 300 strong, defeated 1500 natives. It co-oporates with 600 troops from Fort Salisbury for the purpose of driving the Matabele from Matoppo hills. Mr Rhodes has promised that the Chartered Company will compensate settlers, form a strong permanent police, and build forts for the protection of inhabitants. He specially thanked the Afrikander corps, and promised to allot the burghers land.
