IMPROVEMENT IN HANSARD
THE PREMIER TO SPEAK IN WELLINGTON.
THE PHARMACY BILL,
[Special to Standard.]
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.)
Wellington, this day. Yesterday afternoon Miss Maud Grace, second daughter of the Hon Dr Grace, was married to Mr J. Duncan, eldest son of Mr J. Duncan, of Levin and Co., Limited. The New Zealand Natives Association at a meeting last night unanimously elected Dr Chappie president. The New Zealand Times says the Government have decided to arrange for a more expeditious publication of Hansard in the coming session, and it will probably take the form of a triweekly issue. This will necessitate an adjustment of the staff, and an officer will be placed in charge of the correction of members' speeches, which will be made in the type-written copy, instead of when speeches are in type as has been the practice hitherto. It has further been decided that instead of there being located in the gallery above the Speaker's chair, accommodation will be made for the Hansard staff on the floor of the House. The Premier is to deliver a political address in Wellington at an early date. The Pharmacy Bill, shorn of some of its objectionable clauses, will be introduced into the Legislative Council nest session.
